Sydney had been brought back home and was currently laying in her bed, still in wolf form. The doctor had looked at her and helped her out the best he could. Now all they could do was wait until she woke so that they could treat her leg as well as a few of the cuts and scraps she got. She had been sleeping ever since Carlisle had helped her out back in the woods. One day had past, going on two now. The sun was setting and the moon was coming up. It was then, that Sydney woke and lifted her head. At first, she didn't know where she was or what was going on and then she remembered.
Letting her head rest down on the pillow once again, she just laid there for a while and then looked over as a doctor came in and looked at her. The moment that the doctor left, Sydney changed into her human form, letting out a small cry of pain. It was then that the doctor came back in and talked with her. The first thing she did was put a cast on her leg. she then went and cleaned up the cuts and scraps and then told her to just rest and she would be able to be out and about by tomorrow afternoon. Sydney just nodded her head and laid there. Her gaze up on the ceiling in her room until she fell asleep once more.
---------- THE NEXT MORNING ----------
Sydney woke late the next morning. She sat up and smiled, eating a little breakfast that sat on her nightstand and then gave a small smile when she saw the doctor come in again. Brushing her hair out of her face, she pulled it back into a messy pony tail and nodded her head as the doctor gave her instructions and some medication to take if she needed. When she left, Sydney stood and took and hobbled her way downstairs, sitting on the couch so that she could watch a little t.v. She didn't plan on leaving the house any time soon. Flipping through channels, she stopped when she came to a good show and just relaxed.

Karen had followed as far as she could with the doctor but for some reason, Steven did not come, it was only a few days later that Steven and Leo were gone from town. Heartbreak was something Karen had only experience once and her pack knew about the vampire she had fallen for before she had become a shapeshifter, her crush was ruined when Ashley told her it had to be done. She had killed him, watched him burn and ran, she had to get everything from her mind, everything was gone, everything was dead to her for then and then they came.
Nightmares still haunted her and having that vampire look after Sydney was another nightmare but he just stayed down stairs and only came up stairs to check on her when she was awake. She came in as herself, asked if she was okay and then left, the smell of vampire was so thick, it made her sick because she wanted so badly to kill him. She had to keep herself from doing such a thing, Leo had told her one thing, the whole pack wanted them to be alive, but she did not care anymore, Leo had gotten up and left and she was to anger with him to care if he was dead or alive.
She stayed close to the house, daily moving by as her wolf form and finally heard she was awake as he told he some stuff. She knew that tonight would not be the night to talk to her, but she knew that tomorrow she would come over and be sure to speak with her, maybe give her company.
Next Morning
The lights shimmered through her window and she got up quickly, dressing in a pair of blue jeans, maroon tank top, and her black boots. She always wore the blue jeans and boots and also a tank top, it was not as hard to get out of as the other stuff was. She was not driving, she could run over and see her. She had had another nightmare, this time, Leo was in it...
The vampire stood looking at her, the body of the limp child in his hand, his red eyes smiled at her. The vampire was Carlisle, her whole body shook with anger as she watched him throw the dead, drained child over his shoulder and then Leo came up behind him. She pleaded for his help but he rain, like a coward.
"You filthy coward!" Her voice echoed through her mind, she could not get the picture of him running away, changing and then running away...
She moved to the house, knocked on the door to announce her entrance and walked in, holding the mail that had been in the box. She set it down on the table, knowing the pack used this mail box for all there needs.
"Bills and More bills... Ha!" She smiled as she held a letter in her face and then placed it on the table. "Bill." She walked over to the couch and went across the room to the chair. The smell of vampire lingered, but not nearly as bad and the smell of them was more there. She knew Syd would not have to wear that case for long, soon her body would heal her, twice as fast as a human and she would be fine in a few days. "I'm sorry for yelling at you a few days ago," Her voice was timid but the words were true. She had never planned to have lost it, she was just mad, she was just getting over the vampires, but not, getting over was not the problem, that would take long since the nightmares had returned.

"Bills and More bills... Ha!" "Bill."
Sydney lifted her head and looked over at Karen, letting out a small laugh. That was all they ever seemed to get. Bills. For once she would just like to get nothing or just....not bills. Of course. That's all we ever get. She said and let out a small laugh and just shook her head. Brushing a few stray strands of hair out of her face, she watched as she went and took a seat in one of the chairs. She had turned the volume of the t.v. down so that way she could hear Karen as she continued to talk. Leaning back against the couch, she set her foot with the cast up on the table and just relaxed a little.
"I'm sorry for yelling at you a few days ago,"
Turning her head, she gave a small smile. It's okay. She said in a soft tone. And I'm sorry too. I never ment to make anyone mad. I really didn't. I just wanted to help is all. I'm sorry. She said, her gaze moving from Karen, down to her hands. She still felt bad about everything. Shifting a little in her seat, she then lifted her head and looked over at Karen.

The volume on the tv went down and now they could talk and without yelling, or so Karen hoped. Sydney was relaxed in the couch the cast up on the table and content. This was good, Karen had expected her to be a little tense from the vampire attack and also the fact they had been fighting the past few days and neither had talked.
She saw the smile and it caused her own smile to come to her face. She knew that Sydney did not have to say anything because Karen knew that she had caused a lot of the turmoil.
"It's okay," Karen was looking down, her soft tone floated to her. Karen did not understand who could stay as calm as Sydney seemed to always be. "And I'm sorry too. I never mean to make anyone mad. I really didn't. I just wanted to help is all. I'm sorry." It was kind of a understatement, since making Karen mad was easy and dangerous. Karen glanced at her when she shifted and saw her meet her own eyes.
"Well, you know me, I get mad too easy and I was already kind of still upset about home... Those... People... Don't seem too bad, but I am still unsure," She said to her as she glanced out the window, making sure the doctor was gone and also making sure they were alone.
