Citlali was sitting on the beach, watching the sun fall beyond the sea. It was a beautiful sight, something to only be witnessed with the ocean in view. “Such a beautiful sight.” He said and smiled to himself. He enjoyed the simple things. It was time for him to head home. He got up and walked toward his little car. It was an old Miata Mazda X5. He slid in, it was such a small car for someone as small as him, but he didn’t know what to do now. He didn’t want to go home, so he sat in the car and continued to watch the ocean move.

Pyper sighed as she rolled out of bed and remembered she had a day off of work today. She didn't like having days off, she missed the kids she worked with, but she wasn't going to argue with her bosses and get herself fired. So she got on a pair of jogging pants and a tanktop and decided to go for a jog around the beach today. There wasn't much to do, and she decided that she might aswell do something to keep her legs strong, she would dance once she got down there to relieve stress. She grabbed her ipod and walked out of her house, locking the door and running toward the beach, jogging lightly to the music she was listening to.
She made it to the beach, stopping at the abrupt sudden beautiful smell of the ocean. She stopped and looked at the marvelous site that was before her. She looked around, putting her hair up in the tight bun she usually put it up in when she dances. She got to a soft patch of sand, kicked off her sneakers and started dancing to the music that was on. She then noticed a car sitting in a parking spot. She blushed and walked away out of view of the person in the car that was possibly someone dangerous. So she walked away behind a rock and tried to get the extra color out of her face, and waited to see if the person was going to pursue her.

Citlali got out of the car, not seeing anyone else on the beach and sighed. He needed something to do, so he was going to run. He pulled his shirt off and then his pants and looked around to make sure no one was there and shifted into the form of a massive dark chocolate color wolf. He shook his fur out and let out a massive howl. He took off running and hit the edge of the woods and stopped, looking around again.
“This is the life, complete solitude and enjoyment.” He said in his own mind, letting out a wolfy laugh. He began to walk among the shadows of the tree and enjoyed the serenity of it all.

Pyper's hair stood on end when she heard the blood curdling howl. She jumped up and took off her clothes and laid them aside to where she could find them later. She jumped and formed into her massive chestnut brown wolf, her sleek and velvet fur wafted with the wind as she stretched her hind legs and then her front and stalked slowly toward the chocolate brown wolf that had just appeared there. She sniffed the air, he was like her, shapeshifter she figured. She walked closer hoping not to scare him away to where she couldn't ask him who he was.
She walked toward the shadows of where he was in the woods and followed him closely but not too close to where he couldn't notice that anyone was following, she hoped he wouldn't find her.

Citlali breathed in a massive breath and enjoyed the smell of the woods around him. He took off running, he was so much faster than most of his race. It was his specialty, speed. He moved swift like the wind, dodging the trees and making turns at a moment’s notice, it was wonderful.
“This is how to relax.” He said to himself again. He howled again and moved through the trees, smelling out a deer that he could hunt. He smelled a small heard of them just to the north and began to run toward them, going into full tilt hunt mode.

Pyper walked silently after him, she hides in the shadows of the forest. She silently stalks him and watches him as he runs off after the smell of deer, there was a herd, she suspected. She watched him as he ran foward after the deer, she ran through the woods at a different route and rushed quickly to where the deer were, she had beat him to the deer. She waited silently for him to make it there.
What made this wolf so different, she wondered. Why had he caught her attention so badly that she had to follow him through the woods. She felt like a stalker "what am I doing here, this is stupid. He's nothing special, just another wolf", no matter how much she convinced herself she couldn't bring herself to leave or move from the spot she was at. She watched the deer feed and get water from the creek they were standing by waiting for the other wolf to come hunting.

Citlali hunted in the shadows for a moment, smiling a wolfy grin at the deer. He pounced and the others scattered. He snapped this deer’s neck and began to eat at it. Tearing the flesh from the bone. He loved to hunt, and didn’t mind eating like this. He was more animal now than human anyway. He ate the animal slowly, and then sniffed the air. There was someone else here. His hair stood on end and he growled a warning to the person who seemed to be lurking in the shadow.

Pyper's eyes filled with fear as she stands perfectly still. She had been caught, her ears lowered next to her head. She stayed still as she could be, she didn't want to be murdered like the deer had just been. She was scared but couldn't bring herself to run, she backed up one step at a time. Finally she took off as quick as she could, not caring if he heard her take off or not, he could run after her but not catch her with the headstart she had.
She ran hoping he wasn't behind her, she didn't look back to even find out she ran as fast as her paws could carry her back to the beach. She hoped and prayed that she could make it back to the beach and transform back to her human form and run back to her car and leave before he could even set foot onto the beach and notice that she wasn't there.

Citlali took off after the sound as he heard it leave. This was a fast runner, but he was faster. It was his one talent, the one thing he could be proud of. He could move, fast and easily. The persons, or wolfs scent as it was, was easy enough to follow. He moved silently and swiftly, dodging trees and rocks with ease. He saw the wolf up ahead and sped up, his paws tossing dirt behind him. He sped past the wolf and spun on his paws to face the other wolf, his ears pressed against his head.
He wasn’t sure if he could talk to her with his mind, so he just stared at her, his eyes trying to convey a message of questioning.

Pyper stopped on a dime as she stared straight into the eyes of the wolf she had followed. She couldn't move even if she wanted to, he was standing right in front of her. He wasn't much bigger than her but was much more muscular than herself. Her ears flattened against her head with fear, her eyes matched her emotions. She shook slightly "I did nothing wrong" she spoke in her mind, hopefully it reached his. She hoped she could communicate through her mind like the rest of the wolves could around here.
She straightened up and looked the other wolf in the eye. She didn't want to seem submissive to him, she wanted to be treated as an equal to him. She was no different than him, except she was a female as her stature surely showed.

Citlali was shocked for a moment, he knew that voice. And he moved slowly over to her and smelled her. It was her, no one else could be like this, smell like this. He pushed his mind toward hers.
“Pyper?” He asked, his voice smooth and gentle as he rubbed against her mind with his own. He had not seen her in a long time, not since before his father had passed away. He walked around her, smiling a wolfy grin. If it was her he was going to laugh so hard.

Pyper's eyes widened as she looked at the wolf that circled her "Cit", she smiled her wolfy smirk and tackled him. She now knew why he had such a hold on her, it was her life long friend. They hadn't spoken in years, not since Pyper had left her old town. She couldn't believe that he had made his way here, "what are you doing here why did you leave home"? She turned around and sat down, wanting to return to the beach to transform.
She motioned for him to follow her as she walked back to the beach, where she walked behind the boulder that had her clothes, transformed and got dressed and came back out. She wanted to see his face, she couldn't remember him from long ago, they had just been children. She wanted him to see her now and how much she had changed.

Cit smiled and followed her to the beach. He ran to the car and changed, getting dressed and walking back down toward her. “PYPER!” he yelled and ran to her, hugging her tight and picking her up and spinning her around in a huge circle before setting her down.
“I can’t believe it’s you, and you are a wolf. When did that happen?” He asked, beaming at her. She was still, in a way, the way he remembered; stunningly beautiful, sweet and kind looking. He didn’t realize she was still in his arms and it didn’t seem he was about to either.

Pyper hugs Cit tightly, spinning with him. She laughed as he put her down, she looked up at him and smiled "I became a shapeshifter about 4 years ago when did you" she laughs as she hugs him again. She couldn't believe she was with him again, it made her so happy to be held by him, she missed him more than anything. She questioned long ago if she had imprinted on him while she was still living back on the coast.
She felt that feeling so much stronger now, she then looked down and noticed that he still had his arms around her waist, she blushed and jumped back lightly, looking him over and smiling. "You've changed, you've gotten much taller and more muscular" she smiled broadly, she couldn't help it, it was like some message from God or something. It made her so happy to see Cit again.

Cit laughed, “I changed about two years ago, about the time I moved here to La Push with my mom.” He said, smiling a little broader. HE was happy to see her again, he had missed her, because she was one of his only true friends, one of the people who could always get him to talk or something, whatever she wanted really.
“And thank you, you of course are still as beautiful as I remember. It has been a long time, but I never forgot you.” He said, smiling at her. He leaned back against the boulder they were near and smiled at her, thingying his head to the side a little.
