Lena climbed out of her car when she pulled up to the library and made her way inside. Looking around, she moved and took a seat at one of the tables in the back of the room. Hidden by the bookshelfs. She liked it there because then she knew that she could get some work done. Setting her bag down, Lena pulled out her laptop and pluged it in, then turned it on. Grabbing her book out of her other bag, she set it down and took a seat. Hoping to get a little work done.

Carlisle sat nearby in a chair reading a medical journal. He couldn't stay in the house any longer with Esme acting the way she was. He hadn't seen Lena since the night of the ball and he was missing her terribly. Lifting his head he caught her sent, it was very close. He stood silently and walked over to the couch directly behind her. He settled onto the couch with his feet propped up and waited for her to notice him.

Lena stat there and just typed for a while. Standing, she went and looked through the aisle and grabbed two more before returning to her table. It was then that she had seen Carlisle and gave a small smile. Not sure what else to say or do, Lena just took a seat at her table and opened her books, going back to work once again. After the ball, she really didn't know what to say to Carlisle. It just felt awkward.

Carlisle smiled softly at her. No matter what happened he didn't want to loose her or for things to be awkward between them. "Lena I'm sorry for what I said at the ball." He whispered softly. "I never should have said that and all I can do is hope that you will still be my friend." He whispered softly. He would bear the loneliness alone if she would just be his friend.

Of course I'll still be your friend. Lena said in a soft tone. Looking up at Carlisle, Lena gave a small smile and gently brushed her hair behind her ear. And it's okay. I know that if you just give it a little time, everything will be okay with you and Esme. I know it will. She said and looked down at her book for a moment and then back up at him.
